Alain Souchon, Jeanne Added, Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine and Damien Saez join the 2024 edition of Francofolies

Alain Souchon, Jeanne Added, Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine, Damien Saez, for accomplished artists, Solann and Yamê, for emerging artists, are joining the Francofolies de La Rochelle program in July, the organizers indicated on Tuesday January 30. Scheduled for July 10 to 14, this next edition will be the twentieth and last of the festival director, Gérard Pont, who succeeded the founding father, Jean-Louis Foulquier.

Alain Souchon will be accompanied by his sons, Ours and Pierre Souchon. Hubert-Félix Thiéfaine will perform in an electric set, he who has also recently performed in an acoustic show. Christian Olivier (leader of Têtes Raides) will perform solo, Jeanne Added acoustically, while Yamê, a new voice between song and r’n’b, will have carte blanche.

A rich program mixing all styles

The Francos of La Rochelle had already previously announced Sting, Jean-Michel Jarre, Zaho de Sagazan, Phoenix, Eddy de Pretto and Etienne Daho as headliners. The presence of Sting is not an anomaly in this festival dedicated to the French-speaking world. The former leader of Police is not just a “Englishman in New Yorkas one of his famous songs says, he is also a Francophile.

The names of Grand Corps Malade, Pascal Obispo, Patrick Bruel and the returning Nicolas Peyrac had already been revealed, as well as a well-stocked rap department with Werenoi, Zola, Josman, PLK, Luidji, Bigflo & Oli and even Ninho. Without forgetting a metal evening including Grandma’s Ashes, a 100% female group. The Francofolies brought together 150,000 festival-goers in 2023.
