Alain Delon will be buried on Saturday at his property in Douchy in Loiret

Actor Alain Delon, who died on Sunday at the age of 88, will be buried on Saturday, August 24, at his property in Douchy, Radio France learned on Wednesday from Monsignor Di Falco, who will officiate at the funeral. During his lifetime, the actor had taken steps to be buried at his home in his property located in Loiret, where he died.

The Loiret prefecture had given its approval in principle a few years ago to this project of the actor. A decree authorizing the burial of Alain Delon on his property will be immediately issued when his family requests it, the Loiret prefect told France Bleu Orléans on Monday.

It was “long-planned”said Monsignor Di Falco, who celebrated the funeral of Mireille Darc, the actor’s ex-partner. “Alain, who was my friend, asked me for it when he was alive. I am only honoring his request.”he told France Bleu Orléans.
