At each preview, it’s the ovation for the actors of the new film by Quentin Dupieux, Incredible but true, which hits theaters on Wednesday, June 15. The feature film tells the wacky story of a couple caught up in the daily grind. Their life takes a completely different turn when they move into a new house with a mysterious trapdoor in the basement. This conduit actually allows you to go back 24 hours in the past.

The comedy thus switches into the fantastic. This is precisely the hallmark of the director, Quentin Dupieux. Among his previous films, there are for example Rubberthe story of a serial killer tire, The deerin which a man falls in love with his jacket, or mandibles, where a giant fly is wreaking havoc. Brought to the screen by a five-star quartet, formed by Alain Chabat, Léa Drucker, Benoît Magimel and Anaïs Demoustier, the film was tailor-made for the actors. “I first wanted to write for Alain Chabat and Léa Drucker. I wanted to form a couple, it’s the starting point of my story and I let myself embark on the fantastic without even thinking realize it”explains Quentin Dupieux.
