In Spain, the strike at Ryanair and EasyJet airlines disrupted the start of the summer season. Due to canceled flights and delays, sometimes nine hours of waiting, many travelers had to postpone their departure. Disturbances are also taking place in Germany, in Hamburg. A strike by airport staff causes endless queues before boarding.
Borscht, a rather hearty beet and meat soup, has been recognized by Unesco as a dish belonging to Ukrainian cultural heritage. A distinction claimed by Russia. “For us Ukrainians, it is in our culture and in our hearts. It is our culinary tradition and we prepare this dish very often in the kitchen”, testifies a Ukrainian chef. This reward comes at the height of the war with the Kremlin, which denounced the decision of Unesco and Ukrainian nationalism.
