The Airbnb platform will now remove all accommodation listings not registered with the Corporation de l’industrie touristique du Québec.

Airbnb regional director Nathan Rotman sent a missive to Tourism Minister Caroline Proulx on Friday making the announcement.
“I am satisfied with Airbnb’s decision to comply with our legislation as I demanded yesterday when we met,” said the minister. I also ask other platforms to comply.
“However, I remain firm on my intention to tighten the Tourist Accommodation Act.”
This measure comes almost a week after the tragic fire that killed seven people in an accommodation illegally displayed on Airbnb.
