In order to reduce energy consumption, an order has been issued in several French cities prohibiting businesses from leaving their doors open at all times while the air conditioning is on. A fine of 150 euros is provided for offenders.

In Paris, Saturday July 23, in a shopping street, air conditioners running at full regime with doors wide open. The air conditioners even feel from the street. An aberrant energy waste for the town hall of Paris which has just issued an order to put an end to it. From Monday July 25, air-conditioned businesses will have to keep their doors closed, under penalty of a fine of 150 euros.

This decision is bad news for a scoop. Usually, he never closes his windows, blocked by stalls. Paris is not the first city to want to force air-conditioned businesses to close their doors. This is the case in Besançon (Doubs) or in Lyon (Rhone)since Wednesday, July 20. These decrees do not concern restaurants or drinking establishments with an outdoor terrace.
