Vigilance extends to Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes. After Drôme and Ardèche, Ain and Isère will go into orange rain-flood alert on Thursday September 21, Météo-France announced. Vigilance will come into force at 2 p.m. in Drôme and Ardèche, then at 4 p.m. in Ain and Isère.
“The rain will intensify during the afternoon and evening with the arrival of a very active rain front. This heavy precipitation, sometimes stormy in nature, will extend towards the west of Isère and Ain in the afternoon and should last until the evening.specifies Météo-France.
“The storms will be accompanied locally by hail and gusts of wind of around 70 to 80 km/h (…) The situation must be monitored all the more as it occurs in areas strongly impacted by violent storms last Monday, and therefore made very vulnerable”adds the public body.
