Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, suffering since Tuesday evening, physically reappeared in public for the first time in Istanbul on Saturday April 29, according to images broadcast by television channels. Recep Tayyip Erdogan has started a visit to the Teknofest air show at Istanbul’s former Atatürk airport. This fair, which Turkey presents as “the biggest in the world”allows the Turkish military industry to exhibit its drones and planes.

On Tuesday, the 69-year-old Turkish head of state interrupted a television interview, saying he had stomach flu. His state of health raises questions two weeks before the presidential election on May 14. Recep Tayyip Erdogan is due to participate in an electoral rally in Izmir, on the west coast, on Saturday, according to his official program. He is then expected, Sunday, in Ankara, the capital, to resume the course of his electoral campaign after this four-day break.
