“AI. How machines could replace us”, Matthieu Dugal

Quebec author and journalist Matthieu Dugal joins forces here with British illustrator Owen Davey to dissect what artificial intelligence (AI) is using brightly colored images. Full of amusing references, the children’s book simply traces where humans’ fascination with automatons comes from and how it has evolved over the years, up to the invention of prototypes of military robots. In addition to presenting key figures in the history of AI, MM. Dugal and Davey compare the functioning of this computer system to that of the human brain. Little readers will also be able to discover what artificial intelligence technique is hidden behind applications that they have probably already used on a cell phone. There is no doubt that the work intended for children aged eight and over will also interest parents.
