(Montreal) A man in his thirties is fighting for his life in Montreal after being hit by a motorist on the night of Thursday to Friday in the borough of Ahuntsic-Cartierville.
The collision occurred around 1:50 a.m. Friday on Boulevard de l’Acadie, at the intersection of Rue Sauvé.
For a reason which must still be determined by investigators from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the man was allegedly hit by a vehicle at the wheel of which was a driver also in his thirties.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of serious injuries and his life remained in danger approximately two hours after the accident.
For his part, the motorist, who remained at the scene after the impact, was hospitalized to treat nervous shock.
The SPVM erected a security perimeter to allow its investigators and technicians specializing in collision scenes to carry out their analysis of the evidence.
Friday morning, rue Sauvé was closed between rue Birnam and rue de Port-Royal, while boulevard de l’Acadie was closed between rue de Port-Royal and rue Arthur-Lismer.
