AHL | Harvey-Pinard shines in an easy victory for the Rocket against the Senators

(Belleville) Rafaël Harvey-Pinard had a goal and two assists to guide the Laval Rocket to an easy 5-1 win over the Belleville Senators on Monday night.

Harvey-Pinard sounded the charge for the Rocket by participating in the two goals of Danick Martel, in the second period, before hitting the target on the shorthanded, in the third period.

Nicolas Mattinen scored his first career goal in the American Hockey League and Kevin Roy completed the scoring for the Rocket (35-23-5).

Joël Teasdale and Tory Dello both collected two assists for the Montreal Canadiens, which occupies the second level of the North section. It was a fourth victory in a row for the Laval troupe.

Kevin Poulin stopped 20 shots and continued his very good streak in front of the Rocket cage. The Quebecer has won five of his last six outings and allowed more than two goals in just one of his last seven appearances.

Cole Reinhardt deprived Poulin of a shutout. Filip Gustavsson gave up four times on 28 shots for the Senators (33-27-4).

The special teams made the difference during this confrontation. The Rocket had one power-play goal on two attempts while the Senators were shut out on six power plays.
