(L’Assomption) Prime Minister François Legault was in his riding of Assomption this Friday to announce nearly 42 million to establish an innovation center in agrosciences and agrotechnologies in Lanaudière.
The Agtech organization will receive funding of $41,693,250 to support the establishment of an agroscience and agrotechnology innovation center in L’Assomption.
According to the government press release, this center will include “laboratories, technological workshops, offices, meeting and training rooms as well as a state-of-the-art greenhouse complex, which will allow testing and validation of agricultural technologies and plant bioproducts in a controlled environment.
The objective of this center, according to François Legault, “is to increase the productivity” of market gardeners.
