It’s reunion time for the Agricultural Show, which opens its doors on Saturday, February 26. President Emmanuel Macron will be present for the inauguration of the event, but will not stay. On the spot, the journalist Sophie Lanson explains that there will be no marathon for the president this year.
The agricultural show marks its big comeback on Saturday 26 February. Emmanuel Macron will be present to inaugurate the event, however its agenda will then be disrupted by the Ukrainian crisis. “He was to spend the whole day at the Salon tomorrow. The president will come to inaugurate it at 9 o’clock, but he will leave at mid-morning. No strolling, only an exchange with farmers to discuss with them their fears and the repercussions that this conflict could have”explains journalist Sophie Lansonlive from the Agricultural Show.
After his departure, the Prime Minister will therefore take over for the rest of the day. On the side of the candidates, some have also adapted their agendas. Marine Le Pen maintains her trip on Wednesday March 2, but her visit should be shorter than expected. Yannick Jadot should go to Living room, but reschedule his visit from Tuesday to Thursday. Valérie Pécresse does not change her schedule and will spend the whole day of Monday February 28 at the Salon.
