Agreements signed for two major groups of federal civil servants

(Montreal) Collective agreements have just been signed for two large groups of federal public servants who were affected by the strike last spring.

The agreements were thus signed by the Treasury Board and the Public Service Alliance of Canada for the groups called PA, for Program and Administrative Services, and TC, for Technical Services.

The agreements will be signed by the parties over the next few days for the other groups of union members, the PSAC said in a communication to its members.

Some 155,000 PSAC members were affected by these negotiations, in the federal public service itself, as well as at the Canada Revenue Agency.

A major strike was called across the country last April. Agreements in principle had been reached, then the union members had ratified them on June 16.

In general, the new employment contract provides for increases of 12.6% from 2021 to 2024.
