On the night of Sunday May 1 to Monday May 2, La France insoumise and Europe Écologie-Les Verts signed a “historic” agreement to unite in view of the legislative elections. Expectation is always appropriate concerning the decisions of the Socialist Party and the Communists.

The agreement aims to unite the four main left-wing parties for future elections. The ecologists and LFI reached an agreement during the night of Sunday May 1 to Monday May 2, after hours of negotiations.
A deal “historical”, underlined Manuel Bompard, campaign director of La France insoumise for the legislative elections. The New Popular Ecological and Social Union thus guarantees 100 constituencies for Europe Écologie-Les Verts (EELV), 30 of which are winnable. On the program side, the two parties have agreed on the Smic at 1,400 euros net, retirement at 60, the freezing of the prices of certain products, ecological planning and the principle of disobedience to certain European rules.
