Members of the Colabor-CSN Boucherville workers’ union had called a day-long strike on June 29, which became an indefinite general strike on Tuesday.

The union believes it has made additional gains in the latest negotiations, which began on Thursday. The negotiating committee will therefore recommend the acceptance of this agreement in principle, indicates the Confederation of National Trade Unions (CSN) in a press release.

Members will have to vote on Sunday. The CSN does not give any details on the agreement before this meeting.

The Colabor Group, which has 900 employees according to the company’s website, has several food and non-food product distribution divisions as well as the import, processing and distribution of meat and fish. It serves more than 15,000 customers.
