“I want to reveal moments of our common history, behind the scenes, the missing pieces of the puzzle, those held by the political leader that I was.” Posted in government at the very beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Agnès Buzyn spoke with West Francein an interview published Tuesday September 26, on the occasion of the release of his book “Journal, January-June 2020”.

The former Minister of Health publishes in this book copies of her exchanges with Emmanuel Macron and Edouard Philippe. They know perfectly well that this book is coming out. I informed them that I would publish our discussions there.”she declares to West France. She also discusses in her book her awareness of the seriousness of the pandemic, her criticism of the scientific council, its indictment, the threats… I still receive death threats, the reasons don’t change. Many come from the Didier Raoult or conspiracy movements.”she explains.

The Court of Justice of the Republic indicted the former minister in September 2021, due to her management of the pandemic. A decision then annulled by the Court of Cassation in January 2023, to make Agnès Buzyn an assisted witness in an investigation into a “voluntary abstention from fighting a disaster”. She affirms that she realized very early on the seriousness of the coronavirus detected in Wuhan (China) in December 2019, and that nothing can be held against her by the courts.
