A tragic disappearance. Saturday January 7, 2023, the young Lucas, 13, ended his life because of the school harassment he was the victim of in his school. Schooled at the Louis-Armand college in Golbey, in the Vosges, the teenager was the target of “harassment committed by students, because of his homosexuality, for several months”, as recalled by the public prosecutor, Frédéric Nahon, in a press release.

A suicide at a very young age which caused a huge reaction on social networks. Indeed, many public figures wanted to sound the alarm. Among them, the host Christophe Beaugrand: “To all those who think that it is useless to fight against homophobia at school, all those who do not understand that insults can kill… look at the face of Lucas, 13, victim of homophobic bullying”, wrote the presenter via his Instagram account while choreographer Yanis Marshall meanwhile moved on the BFM TV set to tell about his own school harassment linked to homophobia.
