The National Assembly voted on Friday, October 29, an extension of 20 million euros in favor of research against pediatric cancers by adopting the 2022 budget for Higher Education and Research, up by more than 700 million. euros.
Against the opinion of the rapporteur and the government, the deputies validated an amendment by the UDI Béatrice Descamps defended with great emotion by the deputy from the North. Each year, as part of the budget for higher education and research, MPs table a host of amendments in an attempt to inflate the research budget in specific areas, such as the fight against Lyme disease or here the childhood cancers.
