The popular Primary announces this Saturday in a press release that it will now support Jean-Luc Mélenchon in the presidential election. On Wednesday, Christiane Taubira had indicated that she would give up her candidacy for lack of sponsorship.
This decision to support the candidate of La France Insoumise was made during the board of directors of the Popular Primary. He announces to choose “to support and campaign for the Popular Union”the movement that supports the candidacy of Jean-Luc Mélenchon, “best vehicle to win our ideas in the presidential election”. The communiqué specifies that, according to the same scoring system used during the popular Primary, the vote “placed the motion of support for the Union Populaire in the lead with more than 50% of mention Very Good.”
