Sébastien Chenu did not appreciate the positions taken by Kylian Mbappé and Marcus Thuram in the middle of the early legislative campaign. “When we have the chance, the honor of wearing the French team jersey, we have a little restraint,” replies the outgoing National Rally (RN) deputy from the North, Monday June 17 on France Inter.

“I call on young people to go and vote, we see that the extremes are at the gates of power”said Kylian Mbappé on Sunday. “We have the opportunity to choose the future of our country,” insisted the captain of the Blues. The day before, his teammate Marcus Thuram called “to fight so that the RN does not pass” June 30 and July 7.

“Many of our voters support the French team. They like Mbappé. I like Mbappé as a player, but I don’t expect him to lecture me on politics”, says Sébastien Chenu. The attacker “has every right to have an opinion and it doesn’t bother me, moreover, if he expresses himself”, he assures, however. The French don’t just need people “very far removed from their daily concerns come to tell them how to vote”.
