A request for additional information in the Jubillar case must be examined Thursday, January 18 in the morning by the Toulouse Court of Appeal, franceinfo learned from a source close to the case. The Toulouse public prosecutor’s office also requests that checks be carried out, after having become aware of a telephone conversation linked to the case between a detainee and his mother.

During their exchange, the inmate, incarcerated in Lannemezan in the Hautes-Pyrénées, knows that the conversation is being recorded by the prison administration. He says there is still no proof in the Jubillar case.

“If they knew”

Convicted of attempted murder, he was previously incarcerated in the same prison as Cédric Jubillar. His mother then responds laughing: “If they knew”. “Soadds the inmate, They don’t know Sébastien, Mathieu or Sofiane.”.

Elements which intrigue the justice system because the first names Sofiane and Sébastien appear in the file. Concerning Sofiane, it was to him that Cédric Jubillar confided that he wanted to kill and bury his wife who was about to leave him. The gendarmes also tried to find out if Sébastien’s car could have been used to transport the victim’s body but the analyzes yielded nothing.

Not all avenues were exploited according to Cédric Jubilar’s lawyers

On Thursday, the public prosecutor’s office will request that these witnesses be reheard. As for Cédric Jubillar’s lawyers, who continue to proclaim his innocence, they say they are convinced that not all avenues have been explored. During Thursday’s hearing, which was already scheduled, the lawyers will also appeal the referral of their client to court for the murder of his wife.

Delphine Jubillar disappeared in Tarn on the night of December 15 to 16, 2020. Her body has not been found. Her husband, Cédric Jubillar, is suspected of having killed the 33-year-old nurse, mother of two children. He is indicted for aggravated murder. Aged 37, he has been in pre-trial detention at the Seysses remand center, near Toulouse, since June 2021. The couple was in the process of divorcing. In this case, Cédric Jubillar is to date the only person accused.
