Brigitte Bardot’s outspokenness has once again made the powder speak! Friday, May 26, in an open letter, she questioned the mayor of Frontenex (Savoie) on a case of frogs which sparked a small neighborhood war!

“I have just learned that certain imbeciles, neighbors of Madame Colette Ferry, are complaining of the song of three frogs which prevents them from sleeping!!! And this marvelous 92-year-old lady who has lived there for years and who has no rare distraction than this rare song of endangered frogs!”, began the president of the Brigitte Bardot Foundation. Afterwards, BB literally scolded the plaintiffs, saying: “I advise these big rednecks to go and settle near an airport or a highway in order to take advantage of the noise of the engines which will allow them to dream and sleep. The countryside has to be earned! Nature already well damaged must overcome human bullshit. The frogs are still the voice of a rural world decimated by concrete and the nuisance of money”.
A case that lasts…
Indeed, frogs have taken up residence for several years in the small pond in Colette’s garden. But the croaking of the latter disturbs the tranquility of the neighbors of the nonagenarian, who appealed to the town hall.“We have been aware of this problem for two and a half years”, entrusted to Francetvinfo,Claude Duray, the mayor of Frontenex. “NOTWe were alerted by local residents. We then got in touch with the fauna and flora service of the Savoie department and with the prefecture to find out what we could do.
Although these frogs must be moved by an approved person, the owner’s consent is required… and she wishes to keep them. “So we stopped everything, we can’t do anything without the agreement of the owner. If residents wish to go further, they must now file a complaint.”.
