Three years ago, 65 million French people were confined to their homes, applauding carers at their windows at 8 p.m. and impatiently awaiting the latest news on the Covid-19 pandemic. On the occasion of the sad third anniversary of confinement, France 2 is offering this Tuesday, March 21 a special evening around “Health in France”, initially with a documentary on the crisis situation that the health system is undergoing. French, and then a debate chaired by Léa Salamé and Michel Cymes.
Originally, this special evening should have been offered on January 31, but, at the last minute, the legal department of France 2 canceled it. Indeed, as the channel soberly explained in a press release, ”Santé en France” was canceled for ”legal reasons” and replaced by Luc Besson’s film ”The 5th Element”. France 2 did not wish to expand on the legal reasons for this last-minute cancellation, which some actually thought was caused by the special programming by C8 of a “Face à Baba” with Olivier Véran, ex-minister of Health during confinement.

A lack of broadcast permissions
To deny this rumor, the public service had finally given more information to Puremédias a few hours later: ”Following filming in the emergency room of a hospital, we finally did not have the authorizations to broadcast. The absence of this subject unbalances our documentary. We are therefore in the process of seeing how we are going to solve this problem to later schedule this special evening.. A major problem that France 2 seems to have solved since this special evening, shot at the hospital center of the mas, is rescheduled this Tuesday, March 21, always with Michel Cymes and Léa Salamé.
