Indeed, the coach of “The Voice Kids”back to TF1 this Tuesday July 4 in the company of Patrick Fiori, Nolwenn Leroy and Kendji, caused a huge rant on Instagram. The reason ? He says he is offended by the kitty launched five days ago by the far-right polemicist Jean Messiah. The latter has indeed opened a kitty in support of the policeman, author of the murderous shooting on Nahel, the 17-year-old teenager who lost his life on June 27, 2023 in Nanterre.
Since its launch, the kitty has reached half a million euros. Slimane, who wishes to honor Florent Pagny in the new season of “The Voice Kids”, grew up in Chelles, a French town located in the department of Seine-et-Marne, in the Île-de-France region, where a gymnasium was partially burned down. This event obviously saddened the 33-year-old singer. But the kitty saddens him just as much, as he wanted to make it known.

“To be horrified by the images of Nahel’s murder is not to be against the police, it is to be horrified by the symbol of a Republic that kills our brothers, our children”, first wrote the artist who attacked Gérald Darmanin. The ex-sidekick of Vitaa does not hide it, he sides with those who claim “justice for Nahel”. And seeing that the kitty for the police officer who killed the shooting reaches half a million euros, while that open for the teenager climbs painfully to 342,000 euros, drives the singer mad with rage.
“To be horrified by this pot that was made for an alleged assassin is not to be against a system, but to read between the lines”he laments, without forgetting to indicate: “It is to understand with horror that hatred and racism have not been hidden for a long time, and even in the face of the worst cruelty which is that of taking life”. Aware that his position risks dividing, the artist who was hazed by his comrades in the program of TF1 took the lead: “Do not write to me to tell me who is right and who is wrong. The problem with this society is that everyone sees only with their own prism and that it has always and always been much easier to reign after dividing”.
