Dozens of people died on Sunday September 29 in Lebanon, including a second Frenchman, in what is now an open war between Israel and Hezbollah. An impressive crater has been left in the southern suburbs of Beirut after an Israeli strike.

A field of ruins. Seven-story buildings blown up and reduced to rubble, and the yellow flag of Hezbollah floating in the middle of the rubble: this is what remains of the headquarters of the Shiite militia in Beirut (Lebanon), destroyed on Friday September 27. In a gaping hole, up to 30 meters deep, the inhabitants bring up bodies. Among them, that of Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of Hezbollah, was found intact according to the militia, killed by the blast of the explosion.

48 hours after his death, the Israeli army continued its bombings. It says it hits arms depots and members of the Shiite militia, such as in Saida in the south of the country. The number of displaced “could reach 1 million Lebanese” according to Najib Mikati, the Lebanese Prime Minister. On Sunday September 29, the Israeli army carried out strikes in Yemen. Objective: target positions of the Houthi rebels, allies of Hezbollah. Shots also hit Israeli territory the same day, particularly near the Lebanese border.
