Thursday March 31, Winamax revealed on its account Twittera tweet that angered Kylian Mbappé. In the image, we saw a man, likened to Wilfrid Mbappé, father of the Paris-Saint-Germain striker, almost naked in a stadium, showing his buttocks. “Wilfrid Mbappé during his son’s goal against South Africa”in reference to the fantastic goal of the 23-year-old player in a friendly against the Bafana Bafana. But this did not pass with the French star. “A bit of respect”he asked on the social network before putting the cursor on the misdeeds of sports betting. “The danger of online betting… no longer having a limit”, continued the sportsman. A few minutes after this scandal, the Twitter account of the online betting site decided to delete its initial post, however still visible in the sharing made Kylian Mbappé.
Admitted fault…
In addition to the deletion, and this valve deemed in bad taste by many, Winamax published a press release to apologize: “We offer our most sincere apologies to Wilfrid Mbappé, his family and all those hurt by the use of an inappropriate image against him on our Twitter account. This tweet, in bad taste, had no place on our social networks, announced the site. We will remain vigilant, in the future, in order to avoid regrettable deviations of this type”.
What future for the French genius?
For many months, everyone has been wondering what the future of Kylian Mbappé will be like. The French international has still not extended his contract with PSG, which ends next June. While the Parisian supporters do not despair of seeing him for a few more years in the French championship. Yet in Spain, it is rumored that the current partner of Neymar and Lionel Messi has already signed for Real Madrid… Paris or Madrid? The choice should be known at the end of the season.
