In Russia, officially the investigation continues after the terrorist attack in a concert hall near Moscow on Friday March 22, which left 139 dead and 182 injured according to a latest report published Tuesday. More than 48 hours after the Islamic State group’s claim, Vladimir Putin pronounced “IGIL“, the acronym which designates Daesh in Russian. The head of the Kremlin even went so far as to admit that the members of the commando were “radical Islamists”.

This should, logically, be enough to identify the culprit. But no, in the minute that followed, the Russian president immediately turned his sights… towards kyiv. “We know by whom this atrocity against Russia and its people was committeddeclared Vladimir Putin. We want to know who sponsored it. And the question arises, who benefits from this?”

“This atrocity can only be one link in a series of attempts carried out by those who since 2014 have been at war against our country in the hands of the neo-Nazi regime in kyiv.”

In his very personal logic, Vladimir Putin also noted that, if the United States itself designated Daesh, it was undoubtedly to protect the kyiv regime. Ukraine which is in the process of creating new Hitler Youth, he said. The Islamists, the neo-Nazis, the Ukrainians… This is the coalition of enemies of Russia designated by the master of the Kremlin. But his spokesperson promised Monday: he will rely on the results of the investigation.

Three days after the Crocus City Hall tragedy, many questions remain unanswered, particularly about the identity and motivations of the four main suspects. The latter, at least one of whom is from Tajikistan, in Central Asia, have already been placed in pre-trial detention until May 22. They face a life sentence.
