These attacks are sometimes fatal. In mid-September, a 52-year-old father was kill by two dogs while trying to protect his mother. In total, around ten deaths, including two children, have been recorded since 2020 in the United Kingdom. Each time, the same breed of dog is implicated: theAmerican XL bully.
This very popular new breed can exceed 60 kilos. The British government has decided to ban them. From the beginning of 2024, they will have to be either euthanized or muzzled, sterilized and kept on a leash permanently. This measure does not pass muster with the masters.
