Two years after signing a lucrative contract with the streaming platform, Spotify, Meghan Markle has finally launched the first episode of her podcast. Entitled Archetypes, it proposes to twist the blow to the sexist prejudices of which the Duchess of Sussex was the victim, she and her guests.
Meghan Markle opens Archetypes with Serena Williams
For her first episode, Prince Harry’s wife received her friend Serena Williams, who has just announced that she is retiring from the tennis courts. At 40, and mother of a little girl, the greatest champion of all time wants to devote herself to other challenges. And this is an opportunity for her to come back to the definition of the word “ambition” and how it applies differently in men and women.
If the first episode of Archetypes does not last more than an hour, Meghan Markle has not planned to stop there. It will offer about twelve episodes in total, one every week, to better understand the phenomenon of “those labels that try to hold women back”.

Archie and Lilibet’s mom will interview “familiar names, experts, cultural commentators“, she says. And to add that she already knew some women she met for Spotify, and others not. She explains about all her guests that they are “the smartest, the funniest, the strongest”.
Mariah Carey will be on her show next week
Next week’s program, Meghan Markle has already announced a big name in the song! At the end of the episode, she confessed:I look forward to chatting with you again next week, when we hear from the one and only…Mariah Carey!”
