The nightmare ends for Younousse Sankharé. The 32-year-old player, former midfielder for Guingamp, Lille and even the Girondins de Bordeaux, has reached an amicable agreement with Giresunspor to end the contract which bound him to the Turkish club until June 2023. He A few days ago, Sankharé had alerted to his situation, denouncing a banishment from the workforce and threats made in particular by the president of the club, Hakan Karaahmet.
The club, which had firmly denied Sankharé’s comments, formalized the departure of the player trained at Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday afternoon. “The contract of Younousse Sankharé, transferred to our club at the start of the season, has been mutually terminated“, wrote Giresunspor in a short statement published on its site.

Sankharé, who had not played in the league since November 1, had asked the French Embassy to facilitate his departure from Turkey. The Senegalese midfielder (7 caps) will now return to France, after this short and eventful six-month stint in Turkey. At 32, Sankharé has certainly not given up on his career and will now start looking for a new club.
