The “freedom convoy” set off this Sunday morning, February 13, for Brussels (Belgium) for a European rally scheduled for tomorrow. Last night, a dozen of them were still present on the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

Last night, Saturday February 12, the evening was long with demonstrators present until midnight who tried to gather on the Champs-Élysées. The police pushed them back with blows tear gas, 97 people were arrested and 513 people were fined.
The incidents and the use of tear gas by the police leave a bitter taste in some people. “Plenty of tear gas fell on us. We didn’t do anything, we didn’t ask for anything. Another not very nice gesture from the police“, says a demonstrator. A majority has decided to stop their participation in the convoy to return to work or because of the cost of gasoline. Others do not want to let go. The convoy should arrive in Belgium in a few hours. .
