After “Joséphine, Ange Gardien” and “Camping Paradis” on TF1, France 2 will also offer a cross-over of two of its favorite series!

Cross-overs are popular! In 2018, Mimie Mathy and Laurent Ournac starred in two special episodes of Joséphine, Guardian Angel And Camping Paradise in which their respective characters, Joséphine Delamarre and Tom Delormes, found themselves. The first episode, Three Campers and a Wedding, had a huge audience of 6.5 million viewers; the next one, called A Guardian Angel at the Campsite, disappointed, bringing together only 4.5 million faithful. In 2019, TF1 renewed the experience, this time with Research section And Alice Nevers. A first successful cross-over, which attracted 5.9 million fans, pushing the channel to order a second, broadcast two years later, for the same success (5.7 million).

The first channel to follow suit is actually France 3, which, in 2016, offered a cross-over of Magellan and Mongeville, two series since canceled by the channel and which are a hit on TNT. Since then, the public service has been considering several crossovers, for series such as Candice Renoir, The Intern, Captain Marleau, Alex Hugo, or even Cain. But these are in reality two other successful series from the channel which will become one in the coming months, as France 2 made official in a press release.

Two successful series, carried by 3 women

Indeed, France 2 and France 3 have decided to bring together their respective heroines Astrid and Raphaëlle on the one hand and Alexandra Ehle on the other, for a 90-minute unit co-produced by Carma Films and JLA Productions, and which will be found on the first public service channel in 2024. These three heroines, respectively played by Sara Mortensen, Lola Dewaere and Julie Depardieuare currently filming in the Bordeaux region and its surroundings, until October 16, 2023.

A cross-over which is not surprising, given the audience ratings achieved by its two series: season 3 of the series Astrid and Raphaëlle on France 2 had attracted 5 million fans for more than 27% of the public, and Alexandra Ehle’s last unit on France 3, broadcast in November 2022, attracted 4.6 million fans. Two real steamrollers, on which the public service is banking more than ever… before possible new crossovers?
