Around ten defenders of the Carhaix hospital, including several trade unionists, were summoned to the Quimper police station in mid-May, France Bleu Breizh Izel learned on Friday April 26, confirming information from Ouest-France. This follows the occupation of the premises of the regional health agency (ARS) in Quimper last September and the complaints filed in October by the Brest-Carhaix CHRU.

The dozen demonstrators received, in envelopes from the Ministry of the Interior, summons for a hearing in mid-May under police custody, at the Quimper police station. They are summoned to “sequestration and violence in meetings against a person entrusted with a public service mission”.

On September 14, defenders of the Carhaix hospital emergency department invaded the ARS for several hours and prevented the general director of the ARS as well as the director of the CHRU from leaving.

For the spokesperson for the vigilance committee of the Carhaix hospital, Matthieu Guillemot, who received his summons this Thursday, it is a desire to muzzle the protest. “The State wants to criminalize struggles”he believes. “Today we can clearly see that the summons for police custody arrive faster than the doctors.” He announces that he is launching a support committee for all the people who, like him, have received a summons.
