A giant step in 24 hours. Michel Barnier has built a government whose names will be revealed by Sunday, September 22. A list of 38 ministers where the presidential party is in the majority.

According to cross-checked information, he arrives with 38 ministers, including 16 large ministries attached to seven Macronists, three Republicans, one miscellaneous right, one UDI, two Modem and one miscellaneous left.
This list was debated at length in the afternoon at Matignon during a meeting around Michel Barnier, with the presidential camp, the centrists and the Republicans. The watchword of this last-chance meeting: to move towards a government that respects parity and the political weight of each party in the Assembly.
