It is 7:45 p.m. on Thursday, September 19, when Michel Barnier leaves Matignon for the Élysée to meet Emmanuel Macron and present his government to him. According to cross-checked information, he arrives with 38 ministers, including 16 large ministries attached to seven Macronists, three Republicans, one miscellaneous right, one UDI, two Modem and one miscellaneous left.
