After her victory at the Australian Open, Alizé Cornet dedicates her victory to Tarbes

The French Alize Cornet will play the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in his career. In this moment of intense emotion, the 32-year-old tennis player had a thought for the city of Tarbes.

Victorious of the former world number 1 Simona Halep in the round of 16 (6-4, 3-6, 6-4), the Frenchwoman celebrated for a long time on the court before dedicating her victory to Tarbes. As is traditional for tennis players, she wrote a message on camera before walking out of class, she noted: “for Tarbes” associated with a heart, and commenting “it is for you the Tarbais that one”.

At the moment, the city of Tarbes is hosting the world tournament of 13-14, the Little Aces. An international competition in which Alizé Cornet had participated in 2004 where she had also reached the quarter-finals.
