After a season that did not take place and a season delayed due to the health crisis, Dancing with the stars is preparing to return in September. Two months before the start of the dance competition, the casting becomes clearer. We have therefore learned that the jury will be very different and will this time be made up of Chris Marques, the only survivor of the first seasons and François Alu, whom we loved last year. Alongside them are two newcomers, namely Bilal Hassani, finalist for the 2021 edition and Marie-Agnès Gillot, a star dancer from the Paris Opera courted by the production for many years.
Denitsa Ikonomova leaves the show
Against all expectations, Denitsa Ikonomova, who won the competition five times, will not return to her role on the floor for season 12 in “Dancing with the stars”. “We offered her to come back to the floor, but her schedule does not allow it. She is preparing the choreography for a big film at the start of the school year and is working on another feature film” revealed Frédéric Pedraza, deputy director of TF1 Production.
Two other leading dancers announce their departure
This season will definitely be synonymous with novelty since two emblematic dancers have also decided to jump ship. This weekend, we first learned that Maxime Dereymez will not be there, he who has been on the show since the first season.
