The last time he released a title was in 2020, after the first confinement and before the second, in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Matthieu Chedid sang then “The other paradise“. He who offered concerts on social networks every week, from the living room or the kitchen of his country house, will finally be able to find his fans in the flesh!
“It’s a bit of a disease, surely“
This Tuesday, in the columns of Parisian, the singer recounts his impatience, during 2 years of writing, recording and rehearsal. The son of Louis Chedid says: “When my previous tour was halted by the pandemic and the last fifty dates were cancelled, I moved on. It’s my life to create, to have fun. It’s a bit of a disease, surely“, smiling.

His 7th album “Revality” arrives in stores on June 3, and the tour it offers, begins on April 8 in Clermont-Ferrand (Puy-de-Dôme). And Matthieu Chedid does not hide his pleasure: “There, I am excited like a kid. I can’t wait to pamper myself with an exceptional group. We want to bring back high energy and good vibes to those who are suffering from everything that is happening.” he said.
“I am a stage man first“
Since the beginning of his career, in 1997, the interpreter of “Matchstador” has indeed posed as a real showman. He also admits: “I’m a man of the stage first and I don’t try to be fashionable. I’m incredibly lucky to have the stage and not be a slave to hits in order to exist”.
As proof, in addition to his studio albums, many recordings of his concerts have been released on discs, and have sold like hot cakes. We think in particular of the excellent: “The Turn of -M-“in 2001 and “Face to face”in 2005. We therefore expect that of “Revality” live, looking forward to us too.
