Two months after the tragic death of rapper Coolio, at the age of 59, Afida Turner’s world is collapsing again… The 45-year-old singer announced on her Instagram account on December 9 that she has lost the other man in her life: her husband Ronnie (Ronald) Turner, son of Ike and Tina Turner. She married him in 2007 and although separated, Afida Turner previously assured that she had never divorced him and that they were still very close.
“My god, Ronnie Turner, a true angel, my husband, my best friend, my baby“
Also, this Friday, it is with enormous sadness that Afida Turner has published a message and photos of the one who died following an illness. She wrote, in English on her Instagram account: “My god, Ronnie Turner, a true angel, my husband, my best friend, my baby. I did my best until the end this time. I couldn’t save you. I couldn’t tell you that I loved you for those 17 years. This is a very, very, very bad tragedy. You’re with your brother Craig, and your father Ike Turner and Aline. Rest in paradise.”

Last July, in the TFX program “What happened to the stars of the 2000s?, Afida Turner had discussed her relationship with Ronnie Turner. She had revealed how she took care of him, in Los Angeles, from morning to night, and that she “fed” every day. Singer Tina Turner’s son is rumored to have suffered from chronic bouts of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Very affected by the suicide of his brother, Craig, in 2018, who had “shot a bullet”he had the full support of his wife, Afida, in the ordeal.
“I saved his life”
To our colleagues, she assured in July: “I saved his life”. And to add: “and I will never, ever, ever abandon him”concluded Afida Turner.
