Afghanistan | A new earthquake, measuring 6.3, hits the city of Herat

(Kabul) A new earthquake, measuring 6.3, struck the city of Herat, in northwest Afghanistan, on Sunday, the American Geophysics Institute (USGS) said, after two major earthquakes in this region since the beginning of the month.


The quake occurred at 11:36 p.m. (Eastern time) with an epicenter 33 kilometers from the city of Herat, in the province of the same name where a thousand people were killed in earthquakes in early October.
