Nearly five employees of the Lakeshore General Hospital were diagnosed positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.
No patient was affected by the outbreak, confirmed Annie Charbonneau, delegate director of communications and media relations at the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île-de-Montréal. “The infected employees have all been taken off work and the department is not affected at this time,” she wrote in an email exchange with The Press.
Without mentioning which unit it is, the latter is being screened, said Mme Charbonneau.
Earlier this month, 23 employees and 35 patients were diagnosed positive for COVID-19 at Lakeshore General Hospital.
