Aerosmith’s farewell tour, which is scheduled to stop in Montreal, is postponed to “somewhere in 2024” due to frontman Steven Tyler’s vocal cord injuries.
All upcoming dates in 2023 for this final series of concerts by the American group have been postponed until the singer can continue to be treated for his fractured larynx. Around twenty shows have been postponed.
Since the concert at the Bell Center in Montreal is initially scheduled for January 26, 2024, it is not yet known whether it will be held later. At the Montreal promoter evenko, we indicate to The Press that the coming weeks will bring more details.
The tour began on September 2 in Philadelphia. Aerosmith played two more shows, in Pittsburgh and Elmont, before taking a break so Steven Tyler could receive treatment for his laryngeal injury. “I promise we will be back as soon as possible,” assured the leader in a press release.
Recall that the tour was launched a few months after Steven Tyler was sued by a woman accusing him of having sexually assaulted her when she was still a minor, in the 1970s.
