Aerosmith will not resume its farewell tour. “We have made the heartbreaking and difficult, but necessary, decision as a band of brothers to step away from the stage.” The legendary American rock band announced on Friday, August 2, that they were retiring due to the vocal injury of their singer Steven Tyler.

“As you know, Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He has spent months working tirelessly to regain the voice he had before his injury,” explains Aerosmith in an emotional message published on their website and social networks. “We have seen him struggle despite having the best medical team by his side.
