Thomas Reflects on His Choices
At the Mistral, Thomas (Laurent Kérusoré) finds himself in a moment of deep reflection. He contemplates what his life might have been like had he not taken on the role of bar-restaurant owner. In a conversation with Kilian, he expresses a desire to have pursued higher education, but Kilian reassures him that their destinies are intertwined as restaurateurs.
Later on, Thomas stumbles upon Zoé working on a thought-provoking philosophy assignment: ‘What is happiness?’ This prompts him to share with her a regret about not receiving encouragement from his family to complete his baccalaureate. Zoé encourages him, suggesting it’s not too late for him to consider taking the exam as an independent candidate.
As the day comes to a close, Blanche pays a visit to the Mistral, offering her assistance to help Thomas prepare for the baccalaureate. Taken aback, Thomas expresses his insecurities, saying, ‘But I am incapable of learning all this. If I fail, I will look foolish. I am scared to hope for something that might not happen.’ Will he muster the courage to take this leap of faith?
Jennifer’s Risky Plan for Luna
At the Pavillon des Fleurs, Jennifer (Diane Dassigny), Barbara (Léa François), and Babeth concoct a plan to smuggle letters to Luna by hiding them in a small package. Their mission requires them to find someone to throw the package into the prison.
Shortly after, Jennifer and Babeth observe the throwers in action outside the prison. Once the demonstration concludes, Babeth requests the men to throw the package for her. However, they demand 150 euros, which complicates the plan.
Taking matters into her own hands, Jennifer dons a black hooded jacket and attempts the throw herself. She successfully launches the package over the prison walls, only for the inmates in the yard to retrieve it and pass it to a guard. Is Luna now in jeopardy?
Vanessa Uncovers Anthony’s Secrets
At the Mistral police station, Jean-Paul (Stéphane Henon) harbors doubts about Vattier’s confessions, suspecting that he is not one to easily betray his accomplices. He shares his concerns with Ariane, who suggests a confrontation with both Ulysse Kepler (Jeremy Charvet) and Vattier.
Hours later, the two suspects face off. Ulysse insists he has no ties to Dylan Vattier, but then questions him directly, ‘What did they promise you to drag me down like this?’
Apolline (Zoé Laïb) and Vanessa (Agathe de la Boulaye) decide to infiltrate Anthony Charon’s offices to unveil his secrets. Disguised as cleaning staff, they wander through the eerily empty halls, pondering whether the employees might have left in a rush.
Vanessa soon discovers that Anthony’s company is on the brink of collapse and that he plans to marry Julie solely for her wealth. She acknowledges Apolline’s help in unveiling Charon’s true intentions, saying, ‘Thanks to you, I uncovered the truth about Charon much faster. I owe you one.’ Suddenly, they are confronted by a security guard, prompting a hasty escape.
Back at the law firm, the two women celebrate their success. Apolline expresses to Ulysse’s mother, ‘I wish I had parents with such strong family values as you; it must be comforting.’ Vanessa realizes Apolline may have faced her own challenges growing up.
As the day winds down, Vanessa confronts Anthony in a square at the Mistral, revealing that she has unearthed the truth. She vows to expose him, to which Anthony retorts, ‘I would have destroyed you first.’
