According to our information, the president of the LFI group in the National Assembly, Mathilde Panot, even announced it to a small committee at the start of the week. : she will contact Adrien Quatennens for the terms of her return. After having supported him in the media from the start of the affair, influential executives of La France insoumise are now trying to rehabilitate the deputy from the North. “Everyone wants him back”assures us one of them, estimating Adrien Quatennens victim of a “lynching”. “A slap cannot disqualify him for life”hammers another.
The parliamentary group was warned, but this return was decided from above, tells me an LFI parliamentarian, quite embarrassed. He ensures that the decisions of Jean-Luc Mélenchon continue to be disseminated by his lieutenants present in the Assembly without consulting the others, the new ones, described as “totally atomized” by a rebellious MP. Yet some wanted at one time to exclude Adrien Quatennens from the group, the time of the investigation, in vain. His return is in the pipes, therefore, but under the radar since LFI has not even mentioned it with the leaders of the other Nupes groups.
Useful clarification: his sick leave has just ended. At the Assembly, a heavy rebel assures that he will return “physically in the circuit by the end of the month”. “He will get back on the horsehe said, and we will help him”.
According to one of Adrien Quatennens’ relatives, he is combative and wants to come back, but not before clarifying his situation, in particular his divorce, and telling his version of the facts. According to one of the leaders of LFI, the deputy from the North is already setting foot in the stirrup : behind the scenes, he is currently getting back in touch with executives and activists from the department.
