“We worked well, why not a podium?”

Adrien Fourmaux is a young WRC driver, and is playing his fifth professional season. Despite this, the ambitions are set for the driver, driving his Ford Puma. He will be able to “build his championship” alone after having shared his driving last season with the Finn Teemu Suninen. After 14 days of pre-season testing this winter, Fourmaux is ready to take on new challenges in 2022.

A partnership taking shape with Alex Coria

In 2021, the young driver parted ways with his Belgian co-driver Renaud Jamoul to team up with Alexandre Coria. Understanding in the car is essential for sporting success, everyone has a very specific role to respect in order to achieve this. “We really have very distinct roles, we have to put everything in osmosis so that it goes well” Adrien Fourmaux’s co-driver confides in us.

Committed to the M-Sport Ford World Rally team, the Fourmaux – Coria duo will be accompanied in Monaco of the nine times (9) world champion Sébastien Loeb who joins the team on an ad hoc basis throughout the season. Adrien Fourmaux grew up in front of the titles and the numerous victories in rallies (75) of the Alsatian, who inevitably arrives with a lot of experience. “It allows me to reassure myself when Sébastien has the same feelings as me, it gives me credibility with the engineers when he has the same analyzes as me.”

The road is still long for the Seclinois, who takes on a new role within the M-Sport team for this WRC 2022 championship. It necessarily passes through the Monte-Carlo rally to start the season, from January 20 to 23, before heading to Sweden at the end of February. We will have the opportunity to come back to this, on France Bleu Nord and in 100% ch’tis clubs during a future interview.
