Despite her strict diet, she enjoys small pleasures like coffee and recommends health-conscious drinks, including ginger tea, while cautioning against fruit smoothies due to their high fructose content.
In a recent interview with Nice-Matin published on Thursday, October 31, Adriana Karembeu shared personal insights about her life. When asked what she wishes for after celebrating her 53rd birthday last September, Marc Lavoine’s partner replied confidently: ‘Health! After 50, it’s all about that.‘ She further elaborated: ‘As we age, we can stumble. I haven’t noticed any concerning signs yet, but they will come.‘ To maintain her health and vitality, Adriana Karembeu emphasizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Notably, she has almost eliminated one type of food from her diet: ‘For the past three years, I have hardly eaten sugar. It’s the worst.‘
While Karembeu highlights the dangers of certain foods and minimizes her sugar intake, she also stresses the importance of physical activity: ‘I started weight training with my ex-husband. I used to run a lot, but I hated it. It didn’t show on my body.‘ Karembeu has always been recognized for her unique measurements, which result from both genetic predisposition and healthy habits. Although her modeling career required her to maintain specific physical standards, she has always been interested in health, originally planning to become a doctor. Her collaboration with Michel Cymes on the show Les pouvoirs extraordinaires du corps humain until 2023 also influenced her perspective on wellness.

Adriana Karembeu’s Wellness Secrets
In our December 2023 issue, Adriana Karembeu shared her tips for staying fit: ‘You need to eat high-quality foods. Then, consume limited portions. Avoid processed foods. Also, forget about sugar (only occasionally). Finally, learn to say no. Don’t push yourself to take more, finish your plate, or try dessert just out of politeness if you don’t want to. Your health and life are at stake. It’s better to say no. No is a magical word.‘ However, the beautiful Slovakian also mentioned that she doesn’t completely deny herself small pleasures: ‘I love coffee too much. But I don’t overdo it, I only have two cups in the morning.‘ Additionally, the ex-wife of Aram Ohanian enjoys healthy drinks: ‘I like ginger infusions for a detox effect, even though I didn’t like them before. […] The recipe is simple: just water with ginger and lemon. I also enjoy vegetable smoothies.‘ She warns against fruit smoothies, stating: ‘They can be a nightmare. It’s better to bite into a fruit. An orange juice requires six oranges to make one glass, which is way too much. The sugar in fruits is fructose, which we can’t use immediately like glucose. So where does the fructose go? It goes to the liver. It’s similar to the effect of alcohol.‘
