The Paris police prefecture announced on Twitter that it “is expediting” an administrative investigation after the broadcast of a video shot on Saturday during a prohibited demonstration by the “freedom convoy” in Paris.

On these images broadcast in the 8 p.m. newspaper of TF1, we see a police officer pointing his service weapon at the driver of a car, after a chase at the level of the Arc de Triomphe.

The white car is decorated with a tricolor flag and its driver does not seem to want to stop, despite the orders of the police officers present in a police car with flashing lights on. The broadcast of this video has since been controversial on social networks. Contacted by franceinfo, the police headquarters confirms that the opening of this investigation does indeed concern this video.

In addition, the Paris police headquarters recalls that it is maintaining its vigilance to prevent blockages at the gates of Paris, with reinforced checks throughout the day.
