ADISQ unveils the nominations for its next gala

Daniel Bélanger, Alexandra Stréliski and Lisa LeBlanc dominate the nominations for the next ADISQ gala next November.

The Quebec Association of the Recording, Entertainment and Video Industry (ADISQ) unveiled on Wednesday noon the list of nominations for the awards granted each year to Quebec music artisans.

Veteran Daniel Bélanger received six mentions, including several for his latest album, Mercury in May. He could also walk away with the Male Artist of the Year trophy once again.

Artists Alexandra Stréliski and Lisa LeBlanc follow, with a total of five nominations, and are both in the running for the female artist of the year award. Stréliski won this Félix in 2020.

The groups Les Cowboys Fringants, 2Frères and Salebarbes are also nominated in several categories.

More than a dozen songs will compete for the song of the year prize, including I hear everything that’s playing (in your head) by Daniel Bélanger, Matusalem by Koriass and Jay Scott, and Everywhereby Roxane Bruneau, crowned female artist of the year for the last two years.

Three galas will be presented to award the different trophies. The First ADISQ Gala and the Industry Gala will both be presented on 1er November, and they will be hosted respectively by Sarahmée and Claudine Prévost.

The gala rewarding the main categories will take place on November 5 at 8 p.m. and comedian Louis-José Houde will be the master of ceremonies.
