The unveiling of the finalists took place at Club Soda, in Montreal, on Wednesday in front of a part of the artistic elite and the media during a first press conference in three years (the pandemic having temporarily interrupted the tradition).

Hubert Lenoir ranks first in terms of citations, his name appearing in the artistic selections Male performer, Alternative album, Critics’ album, Artist with international influence, Author or composer, International collaboration and Video of the year. In the industry categories, the album pictura de ipse is cited for his arrangements (Hubert Lenoir and Gabriel Desjardins), his production, his cover (Noémie D. Leclerc) as well as his sound recording and mixing.

It’s been a little over a year since the album was released. We went to Europe, to festivals. We were at the Polaris yesterday. That feel good. I am happy.

Remember that the artistic categories relate to albums, artists or shows, while the industrial categories relate to companies (record labels, production teams, etc.), products (covers, programs, events) and individuals (arrangements , production, sound recording, etc.).

Lisa LeBlanc follows Lenoir for the artistic selections, with five (in addition to another for the realization of chic disco).

LeBlanc is notably in the running for the Félix for the female interpreter of the year. Facing her, we find Roxane Bruneau, Cœur de pirate, Sarahmée and Klô Pelgag. For the men’s section of the category, in addition to Hubert Lenoir, are named Ludovick Bourgeois, Corneille, Marc Dupré and Patrice Michaud.

The Cowboys Fringants are also nominated five times. The duo 2Frères, Cœur de pirate, Jay Scott, Patrick Watson, Roxane Bruneau and Salebarbes each received four citations in artistic categories.

Vincent Vallières, Les Louanges, Jean-Michel Blais and their respective teams are nominated six times: three artistic and three industrial selections each.

“We can’t emphasize enough the joy of seeing our three galas live, in front of an audience,” commented Julie Gariépy, executive producer and content manager for the ADISQ galas.

This year, we obtained a record census, proof that artists have never stopped creating, which allows, among other things, the return of the entertainment categories.

Some 250 albums, 88 shows and 91 music videos were counted for this edition, for a total of 56 Félix awarded during the three galas.

The Gala de l’ADISQ ceremony, once again hosted by Louis-José Houde, will take place in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts on November 6. It will follow the Premier Gala, presented on November 2 and hosted by Pierre Lapointe at the MTelus, as well as the Industry Gala, which will take place a little earlier that same day at Club Soda and will be hosted by Claudine Prévost.
